Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
Ensures high level of customer satisfaction with the quality of the services delivered to the customer's home, apartment building, or commercial business.
Promotes Bresnan products and models excellent customer service to every customer. Motivates field staff to meet productivity, maintenance, and sales goals.
Utilizes the full-range of test equipment to ensure that the system is operating effectively and efficiently, including but not limited to head-end, outside and inside plant, and installations.
Trains field staff in daily operations and new technologies and methods, as needed.
Performs quality control reviews of trouble service calls to ensure that the problem was accurately diagnosed and resolved. Provides feedback to field staff and coaches in appropriate methods, as needed.
Develops and ensures compliance with the system’s preventive maintenance program. Recommends new methods and practices, as needed.
Develops method for tracking the results of system visits and the related correspondence with the system management.
Interacts with outside agencies, as required by repair activities.
Prepares reports, as required.
Maintains an in depth knowledge of all applicable regulations and specifications concerning the repair of the system.
Maintains thorough and current proficiency of FCC and Bresnan performance specifications, and can, without supervision, initiate and complete comprehensive testing including, but not limited to all FCC or Bresnan required or recommended tests and measurements.
Insures that the head-end and all related equipment are properly maintained within these specifications at all times.
Provides leadership in safety procedures and practices. Performs all work in a safe manner, ensuring the safety of co-workers, customers, the general public, and the employee. All work is done in compliance with the National Electric Code, National Electrical Safety Code, and OSHA regulations.
Climbs poles, ladders, towers, and other structures on a limited basis.
Lifts and carries loads of up to 70 lbs; uses bucket truck on a limited basis.
Drives Company vehicles safely, complying with all traffic regulations.
Performs other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
Associates Degree in electronics or equivalent, FCC General Class License or SCTE BCT or BCE Certification, or equivalent experience.
Certification as described in the Bresnan Technical Advancement and Career Path Policy, including written, practical, and safety tests. Outside candidates will be expected to provide proof of comparable training completion, or with the approval of the Engineering Department, hired with the expectation that all tests will be passed within 180 days of hire.
Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
Demonstrated leadership and staff development skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and customer relations skills.
Must have advanced knowledge of head-end and all plant operations.
Neat and clean appearance.
Able to travel as necessary with short notice.
Must be able to compile written reports and create database for tracking system visits.
Must have computers skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office programs.
