Shawn Fisher, Vice President, IT/Operational Support Systems

As Vice President of Advanced Services Technology, Mr. Fisher is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of the core services infrastructure for Bresnan OnLine, the company's high-speed Internet service. This includes the OSS/BSS Systems that support the Bresnan voice and data services. He has also taken the lead in the design, deployment and ongoing technical support for Bresnan's other advanced services, including video-on-demand, commercial high-speed data, digital voice, and high-definition TV. In his current position, Mr. Fisher has also played a key role in technology and vendor selection, contract negotiation, and selection of sites for advanced services deployments.

Mr. Fisher joined the Bresnan team in 1991, bringing with him more than 19 years of technical and management experience. Working in various capacities at Bresnan, he played an integral role in the deployment of BresnanLink high-speed Internet service dating back to 1997. He has also been a pioneer in the development of complex commercial high-speed data projects in the cable TV industry - designing and implementing one of the first virtual-private-networks ("VPNs") for the Mayo Foundation and for IBM in Rochester, MN.

Mr. Fisher holds membership in a number of professional societies including the ISOC, the organizational home of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), the Internet Architecture Board (IAB), the Internet Engineering Steering Group (IESG), and the Internet Research Task Force, all of which represent the standards setting and research arms of the Internet community. He also is a member of the Society of Cable Telecommunication Engineers and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
