Jeffrey S. DeMond, President and Chief Executive Officer

As President of Bresnan Communications since June 2005, Jeff DeMond continues in a leadership role with the company. His broad background in acquisition and operations finance and financial management adds considerable depth to the Bresnan executive management team.

Mr. DeMond joined Bresnan in 1985 as Director of Finance and was named Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer in 1986. His promotion to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer followed in 1995. During his tenure with the company, he has overseen the acquisition, financing and financial integration of numerous domestic and international communications businesses, including telephone and cable investments in the United States, Chile and Poland. These included domestic and international bank and bond financings, equity investments by financial investors including Providence Equity, Quadrangle Group, TD Capital, The Blackstone Group and Credit Suisse First Boston and investments by strategic partners such as Tele-Communications, Inc., AT&T Broadband, Comcast Corporation, and Tele-Communications International (now part of Liberty Media Group). Certain of these businesses were sold during 1999 and 2000 for a total of more than $3.5 billion. Mr. DeMond also oversees the Bresnan management team's private investment program and serves on the boards of several of its portfolio companies. He is a member of the Cable TV Pioneers and other industry organizations.

Before joining Bresnan, Mr. DeMond was a Senior Manager with the New York City office of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Company, an international firm of certified public accountants (now known as KPMG). During his seven-year tenure, he worked with entrepreneurial clients in a variety of industries including radio broadcasting and film syndication. Mr. DeMond is a certified public accountant and a business school honors graduate of the University of Alabama, where he won various awards including the Stan Kenton Outstanding Jazz Soloist award as a member of a college all-star big band. He also performed and recorded with a band that had a million-selling record in 1975.
